Southwest Florida builds constantly. New neighborhoods spread east of I-75 from Lakewood Ranch to North Port and Lehigh Acres, condos and hotels rise along the Gulf, and every summer brings rooftop air-conditioning swaps on shopping centers and schools. Since Hurricane Ian in 2022 and Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024, roofs, docks, seawalls and trees across the coast have needed rebuilding or removing. Most of that work needs a crane at some point: to set trusses and steel, lift units onto roofs, place boats and hot tubs, or take down trees that can't be climbed safely.
